I’m working away on a longer and more involved project to blog about in future weeks. In the meantime, I want to share this interesting article from SFWA (Science Fiction Writers of America) about the business side of writing. It’s something that I think not many beginner writers give a lot of thought to. And for some who may plan to continue with their day job or another source of long term income rather than earn a living from writing, it may not be as relevant.
All the points made are interesting, and even if they aren’t followed literally, they provide some inspiration for the sorts of things a writer should think about to be business-minded. I wish I could recommend these tips from experience, but at the moment I am not making a living from writing. In the next few years though, perhaps I will be a font of sage business advice!
